Testimonials

In the words of the people Bea leads.

“It is both a privilege and a genuine pleasure to share my experience with Bea Wray and her Convene group in Charleston. I have had the opportunity to experience her leadership not just from a distance, but in a deeply personal and meaningful way.

Bea leads with a rare combination of clarity, humility, and intentionality. She is an exceptional communicator. She is transparent, thoughtful, and strategic, yet what stands out most is how she makes people feel. In every interaction, she creates space for others to be heard, valued, and challenged in the best way. She has an extraordinary ability to navigate complex situations, bridge differences (including denominational ones), and bring people together in a spirit of unity and shared purpose.

Her background is incredibly impressive. She is a Harvard MBA, author, and accomplished speaker, yet she carries these achievements with grace and without pretense. Whether she is serving as a college professor, leading as a Convene Chair, contributing to global conversations through her involvement with the Aspen Institute or investing one-on-one in members like myself, she consistently operates with excellence and care. She also has a remarkable ability to juggle multiple responsibilities while staying fully present in each moment.

What I have appreciated most personally is her ability to see through challenges with wisdom and perspective, helping others move forward with clarity and confidence. She draws out the best in people and fosters environments where meaningful growth and honest conversation can take place.

Bea’s deep love for Jesus is at the core of who she is and how she leads. She can lead people from all walks of life with both conviction and grace. Combined with her entrepreneurial experience and understanding of organizational growth, she is uniquely equipped to guide Convene members as they grow their companies.”

“In such a short period of time as a Convene member, I have grown tremendously personally and professionally. Most importantly, I am a better listener. Bea peeled that issue back for me and got down to the nitty gritty of what I was doing in conversations and gave me direct steps to follow. Now my capacity for impact is far greater. I have learned that listening is at the core of most of our problems. It is helping me in my family as well as my strategic business matters. I look forward to applying my new skills in all of my endeavors.”

“I just love our group and most of all your leadership. I have to pinch myself sometime when I think about having you in my life. I also think about the effort you made for us to connect and just how long it took for me to accept. God was nudging me the whole time and thank God I finally listened to him and agreed for us to meet. You have helped me so much and for that I am forever grateful.”

Wade Boals

“Bea is a natural leader with a keen intellect, contagious enthusiasm and sweet humility all grounded in Christ. Bea’s life experiences are inspirational while her spiritual maturity coupled with her strong emotional intelligence are a recipe for success.”

Patti Jenrich
Leadership Team, Titus2

“When I joined Convene in January 2023, I was desperate for a solution. I loved my work as a medical provider, but I was drowning in a broken healthcare system that required me to see nearly 30 patients a day just to stay afloat. My staff and I were emotionally exhausted, working 10-hour days without breaks, and I found myself beginning each morning simply hoping to “get through it.” I longed to give patients the time and attention they truly deserved—to listen, to teach, and to help them heal—but financially, that seemed impossible.

Then I met Bea. Over coffee, I immediately knew I needed to be part of her Convene group. I didn’t hesitate—I joined on the spot. From my very first meeting, I felt surrounded by people who genuinely cared, who believed in my calling, and who wanted to see me succeed. When I shared my challenges, the group unanimously affirmed that I needed to step out of the traditional insurance model and create something new—something that aligned with the mission of providing advanced, preventive, and personalized care.

With Bea’s wisdom and the group’s support, I launched a concierge-style medical practice, Kadima Center, and later a nonprofit, Shalom Support, to ensure care remained accessible to all. About a year later, Bea guided me again as I transitioned my original clinic, Whole Heart Family Medicine, to a hybrid model—walking me through opposition, attending meetings with my staff, and helping me lead with confidence and grace.

Bea’s mentorship was the turning point in my professional life. Through her guidance and the power of Convene, I rediscovered joy in my work, regained balance, and built a sustainable model that allows me to truly transform lives. I am no longer burned out—I am fulfilled, focused, and thriving. I will be forever grateful for Bea and my Convene group, who helped make the impossible possible.”
