Always leading in environments undergoing transition, Tim is passionate about maximizing an organization’s effectiveness through the growth and development of their key leaders.  Combining skills of pastoral care and strategic leadership, Tim desires to develop point leaders that lead from their whole heart for the good of their employees, customers, and stakeholders.

After serving in local church ministry at two of the largest churches in the Kansas City area, Tim transitioned to leading a nonprofit ministry that serves at-risk teens and their families.  Throughout his ministry career, Tim always gravitated toward leading the “Leader of Leaders”, seeing his role as a force multiplier within that organization.  Tim has a track record of bringing organizational health, strategic focus and increased collaboration among churches and organizations toward a common mission.  He is driven to catalyze marketplace leaders to expand God’s Kingdom both through their business leadership as well as through serving their local church.

Tim holds a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and has worked with hundreds of marketplace, educational, military, law enforcement, nonprofit, and church leaders to increase their effectiveness as influencers in their field while also growing as followers of Christ.

Why Convene?

Convene’s mission to bring earnest spiritual development AND enduring organizational growth together in one format is what attracted Tim to join the Convene team.  Tim believes that our internal development should always have an external output, and our external growth should always be driven by the transformation going on internally.  With Convene, a leaders internal and external worlds are challenged and motivated to impact a given community where God has providentially has placed that leader.  Loving God with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength is the first commandment, then loving others out of that first commitment is what our Lord demands of us and Convene helps to accomplish that in Business leaders with a platform to transform a city.

Vision for my Convene Group…

I am especially passionate about leaders with growing families (30’s-50’s) and growing influence within their industry.  Helping these leaders remain spiritually grounded, professionally curious, and personally committed to bring the greatest good to everyone they serve is what I want to be able to leverage this Convene group to do.  I love to bring order to chaos and clarity to confusion; therefore, leaders who find themselves stuck, plateaued, or in crisis are the environments where I believe I can bring the greatest help.  In addition, my extensive experience in leading discipleship and key leader groups will allow a CEO group where leaders can be vulnerable while bringing their various spiritual, family, or business worlds together into one unified focus where every group member is engaged in sharpening the other.
