Bill Mitchell is a proven leader and a developer of leaders. As founder of CityLead and WorldLead, he encourages business leaders to move forward in their own leadership and to realize the important role they play in building their businesses and developing a strong biblical work ethic in running their companies and organizations. Bill believes that business leaders have been thrust into roles that they are sometimes unprepared for. Before you can lead another, you must first be able to lead yourself, your team, and then the entire organization. Bill works with business leaders and organizations in multiple cities across the country and in many countries around the world. His goal is to “inspire, mentor, and lead” men and women into an understanding of their important responsibility as the head of their organizations. After 25 years in the commercial real estate industry and 12 years serving as the pastor of Boca Raton Community Church, Bill was awarded the Business Leader of the Year in 2020 by the Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce. He offers a unique blend of business and ministry insight. He has traveled to over 85 different countries and currently works with people and organizations in 35 countries through WorldLead, an initiative that mentors over 150 emerging leaders of non-profit organizations around the world.
Bill facilitates BocaLead, a monthly business forum that focuses on developing strong character and ethical business practices within the community. Each month more than 250 business leaders gather to hear him speak on the topics of integrity, building trust, and best business practices to strengthen their businesses and make their community a better place to work, play, live and worship. BocaLead has expanded into other cities such as CityLead.
Bill is passionate about encouraging Christian CEOs, business leaders, and non-profit leaders to develop their platform into greater impact for their commercial success and for Kingdom impact. He believes that Christian business leaders have a high “calling” and responsibility with their life and context. No dichotomy should exist between the sacred and the secular.
On a personal note, Bill has been married to Elizabeth for 40 years. They have five children and four grandchildren. He is a cyclist, hiker, avid reader, and world traveler.
Bill is pursuing Christian CEOs, business owners of large businesses and organizations, and heads of non-profits. His personal experience in helping leaders over the past 15 years will bring value to experienced business leaders. Newer business leaders or owners of smaller organizations will feel more comfortable in one of the other existing Convene teams in South Florida.
Bill wants to invest in, equip, and encourage Christian leaders who are driven to scale their businesses, organizations, and teams, are not satisfied with the status quo, believe in servant leadership, and thrive on executing with excellence; “change-makers” with significant platforms that can be advanced in meaningful ways for both commercial and Kingdom purposes.
Our Convene Team will meet once a month for five (5) hours (12noon- 5 pm) on the 2nd Tuesday of the month. The agenda will include a devotional, business learning/concept, and issues/opportunity challenges facing the various Members. There will be a monthly one-hour coaching/advisory session.
