He spent 23 of those years in Germany where he worked as a church planter, risk management advisor, and college instructor. Nothing thrills him more than helping leaders find and fulfill their callings. Michael’s calling came together in a mighty way after completing his doctorate in 2010. He then began the transition to full-time online, teaching, consulting, and coaching. He now hosts Convene’s first virtual team.
Additionally, Michael led the transition of the oldest Christian coaching organization (CCNI) to a non-profit and still serves on its board.
He is a published author and instructor of ethics, coaching mastery, and is an online professor of international business and finance. He also leads the global ethics community for the International Coach Federation (ICF).
On the weekends, he volunteers as a ski guide, museum curator, suicide interventionist, and outdoor chaplain. Michael has been married to Joy for over 33 years and has two very international children. He lives at 8162 feet in the Elkhead Mountains of Colorado with a dozen sled dogs and golden retriever.
