They are all roles held by David Alexander; in each role, as a conductor, a university president, and a leadership consultant, David came to understand and enjoy the success linked to the reality that people accomplish more together than alone.
The Convene Team is based upon that reality. Mid-range business owners and CEO’s come together, leaving behind the solitary nature of their positions to establish peer-to-peer relationships. In monthly sessions, Convene Chair, David Alexander, facilitates their shared exploration of professional hopes and aspirations, struggles and strategies, best practices, and faith journeys. In one-on-one coaching sessions with David, each Convene Team member articulates their personal and professional vision and goals and examines the alignment of their work and their company’s performance with God’s vocational call on their lives.
David’s unique background and deep Christian faith, inform his understanding of the challenges of leadership. He knows the necessity of building effective teams focused on planning and execution, how to build and scale programs, and the mandate to establish an organizational culture built on Kingdom principles that serve the common good.
David and Sandy have been married over 40 years, enjoy their Idaho life, and treasure time with their children and five grandchildren.

David has the privilege of Chairing monthly Convene Team sessions. As facilitator of the Convene Team, he guides men and women of faith and position, as they share best practices, strategic thinking, and engage in “iron sharpening iron” dialog. He manages the array of business and leadership-development content, and quarterly welcomes nationally recognized business presenters into the life of the group. All this enables individuals and their businesses to better address challenges and seize opportunities.
COACHING
The Convene Team member’s monthly One2One™ coaching session allows David and the member the opportunity to identify and examine matters of both professional and personal interest. These confidential sessions are conducted with a spirit of encouragement and candor. Goals, actions and behaviors are shared, wise counsel and candid accountability is offered, all in alignment with Christ’s call to be good stewards of our gifts and talents.
