For the past six years, Mickey has been dedicated to business excellence and leadership excellence coaching, partnering with leaders to accelerate organizational growth and success. His efforts have helped several clients achieve remarkable milestones, including quadrupling their size and revenue. Under Mickey’s guidance, clients have earned accolades such as the Dallas Business Journal's "Best Places to Work" and Middle Market 50 fastest-growing company awards. He has supported companies in achieving tenfold revenue growth, with some reaching $20 million, $60 million, and even $200 million in annual revenue. Mickey’s expertise is underpinned by certifications from GiANT Worldwide, Global Coach Group, and US Leadership, making him a trusted authority in leadership and business growth.
Mickey’s foundation in leadership traces back to his college years as a football player, where he served as the defensive team captain for two years, earned all-conference awards, and maintained a strong academic record as an honor student on the academic dean's list. He graduated with a degree in pre-med.
Following college, Mickey served in the US Army as a 1st Lt. He held the role of Executive Officer and graduated as the honor graduate of his US Army Signal Officer Class. His military training instilled in him a strong sense of duty, resilience, and strategic discipline.
After his military service, Mickey transitioned to athletic leadership as an Athletic Director and Head Football Coach. As Athletic Director, he led departments with 45 full-time coaches and 3 athletic trainers, overseeing over 600 athletes across multiple sports. His leadership propelled teams to consistently compete in and win state championships. As a head football coach, Mickey transformed underperforming teams into perennial winners, earning multiple Coach of the Year accolades and ranking among the top 5 winningest coaches in the DFW area with 180 career wins at the time of his retirement. He also holds a Master's degree in Athletic Administration.
Outside of his professional work, Mickey and his wife Sarah have celebrated 37 years of marriage, raised five children, and are proud grandparents to four grandchildren. He actively volunteers for non-profits, including Genesis Women's Shelter of North Texas and Cornerstone Food Kitchen in downtown Dallas. At his church, Mickey leads men’s ministry, organizes mission trips to the Amazon, and teaches workshops on integrating faith into the workplace and empowering men to lead both at work and at home.
